Umphumulo Hospital Visiting Hours
Umphumulo is one of the few hospitals here with both of its visiting periods in daylight, at 10:00 and again at 14:00, and nothing in the evening. On the R74 between Stanger and Greytown that is a sensible arrangement, because the road is dark and winding after sunset. The times are identical every day of the year, weekends and public holidays included. Ring 032 481 4140 rather than the main switchboard number, which has been out of service.

A district hospital on the road between Stanger and Greytown, sharing the Maphumulo sub-district with Untunjambili Hospital and carrying about 60% of its patient load. It oversees seven fixed clinics at Isithundu, Maphumulo, Maqumbi, Mbhekaphansi, Mthandeni, Oqaqeni and Otimati, plus two mobile services covering 40 visiting points.
