The general wards at Beacon Bay run an unusually long afternoon window, 14:00 right through to 20:00, which is far more generous than most private hospitals and useful if you work in East London and cannot get away early. The intensive care unit is the opposite: two short slots, immediate family only, two visitors, and no children under 12. Maternity closes at 18:00 for everyone, including birthing partners.
